The first thing I want to do is to welcome you to my blog. I really appreciate that you have taken the time out to come and visit. I hope that you will enjoy it and find something in it that you too might have interest in.
Before I go too much further, my name is Stacy and I’ve created this blog so that I can share some of my interests with others who might be interested in some of the same things that I am. I live with my two wonderful little rescue dogs who just love doing some of the same things that I do, which is great because I love being outdoors as much if not more than they do.
I have a degree in Physical Education/Fitness so that may explain why so many people consider me a fitness fanatic, but I’d rather consider myself a fitness enthusiast. After all, it is important to try and stay as fit as we can. Right now I like working with kids of different ages to help them understand that there is more to life than just sitting on the couch and playing video games or texting on their phones. I like to stress to them the importance of getting out and doing something, anything that gets their bodies moving and not just the tips of their fingers tapping away on a phone screen or tablet.
I enjoy jogging, walking, communing with nature, healthy foods and a variety of sports like tennis, golf (even miniature golf), swimming, baseball, basketball, football (well, I don’t play it but love to watch it) and a variety of other things.
I also enjoy gardening, which is great exercise on top of being extremely rewarding. I enjoy what nature has to offer and try to do my part in helping to keep my little part of the world as clean as I possibly can, so I’m really big on making sure that whatever I do doesn’t leave much of a mark after I’m gone.
I love to cook as well and am always looking for good recipes that I can make and share with others. I love to spend time in the kitchen experimenting and even trying to come up with my own new little tasty treats and hope to be able to share some of them with you here on my blog.
Traveling is another favorite thing of mine especially if it has anything to do with being hands on and getting out and really seeing things. I love to be able to hike around or bike around places I’ve never been taking in all the sites and getting my exercise at the same time. I’ve discovered there’s plenty of place to travel to where you can include staying fit while enjoying a strange new place at the same time.
With this blog I hope to be able to share with you some of my experiences and some of the things that I really like to do as well as helping you maybe gain a better understanding of how you can do things that will help both your mind and body stay fit and healthy. I also hope that you will feel free to share with me some of the things you enjoy doing as well as asking any questions you might want to ask, I’d be happy to answer them if I can.
